Ruidoso June 2010

Took the kids to the Billy the Kid Museum in Lincoln County on our way to go horseback riding in Ruidoso in June 2010. Not many pictures of horseback riding because I was on a horse that liked to ride the edge of the cliffs. Scared the heck out of me, but the kids thought it was funny! We had a great time cant wait to go back.

SANTA SIGHTING!

Santa visited the children at school last week. He started with the Pre-School class. Then Kindergarden, 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th grades. By then it was lunchtime & Santa was as hungry as a polar bear...

After lunch Santa visited the 5th grade class. I'm not sure what exactly happened. Either a child threw up on Santa or the wonderful cafeteria food didn't agree with him!

I only see her at the swing set

We had a fairly intense storm last night, which must have brought up the subject of songs about thunder and lightning. However it happened, this is her version of at least those two words from the Garth Brooks song Thunder Rolls.

A new dress, new art work on her knee, and things to do.

I just tried to spend a few relaxed minutes with my sister and left feeling that she might need constant police protection, or at least a restraining order. This child is one of the forces of nature, and not the kind that become gentle breezes or spring showers.

I finally have it translated as, "We gotta go into the house or else the mosquitoes are going to bite us."

She is supposed to be saying "Hello" to her papa Mike, great-grandmother, and aunt and uncle, but the pressure froze her for a moment. As soon as the video was turned off she came to life, gave some kind of martial-arts scream, and destroyed the living room.
I'm still trembling uncontrollably.

A kid's day
